Hi there, I’m Kristin!

You can usually find me out welcoming new businesses to town, sitting in the carpool line, or chatting with a friend at my favorite local coffee shop.

Kristin helped me set up custom audiences for my business Facebook page and it has helped me grow my reach on social media more than I even expected. With a very small budget and very limited advertising, I’ve been able to get my message in front of a new audience beyond the Mid-Ohio Valley and attract potential customers. I value her expertise when it comes to using the right social media tools for making the biggest impact.

  • I'm a Coach

The biggest part of marketing is implementation. We all have great ideas but how many follow through with complete implementation before life gets in the way?

Let me help you get those ideas off the ground and keep the momentum going month to month!

Are you ready to stop saying I wish and start doing?

Hundreds of clients. Thousands of training hours. Over ten years of making social media simple for small businesses and nonprofits from WV to FL and everywhere in between.

In 2007, I was working in higher education and finishing a master's degree, sights set on becoming tenured faculty, getting my Ph.D., and becoming a college president one day.

Down the hall is the marketing director making plans for us to go to KIP Camp at the Ohio State University. We learned about new trends, social media, and the future of communication (so we could understand journalists better).

We came back and decided with the tools we got at that 2-day conference to dive headfirst into social media.

Being an early adaptor of Facebook (yay for having a .edu email address—another bonus of having that master's degree), I was excited to jump right in. We created groups for prospective students, started telling our story online (though we didn’t call it that—let’s get some students to say why they love it here, okay yay let’s do it—let’s create a video with everyone singing and put it on the Internet—god no—okay that was just me) and we even got a 30 year higher education veteran (on his way to retirement) to create a Facebook profile and tell students he would announce advising appointments there first!

So, being the late 20-year-old extrovert leader-in-training I was, I decided I would tell the world what we were doing (okay, just a few business owners at a Chamber business after hours month after month) and they did what I suggested they start doing on social media and guess what?

It worked.

Fast forward to 2010, and WV Social Media was launched (and named on a hike, might I add for all the SEO purposes it’s seen in the last 10 years). 8 months after that, I left higher education (but not for long, or not for good, because can you ever truly leave that world?) to become a full-time ENTREPRENEUR—my worst nightmare, or so I thought since I grew up in a small business and have seen first hand the sacrifice (but also the reward) of business ownership. I have never looked back. I’ve been given so many awesome opportunities to work with amazing people, teach at a grad school level, help create a digital marketing program for high schoolers, to take over a college’s social media marketing for 18 months, to work with small businesses that are thriving, to nonprofits to help them raise awareness and money and to start-ups, I get to watch flourish!

Over ten years later, those same folks who trusted me first plus a few hundred others have taken my advice, have done the work that consulting requires you to do, have given in to the ‘there is always more to learn, and scheduled a training, have signed up for my free Facebook group (and other freebies), have hired me to fill a temporary void in marketing so it wouldn’t suffer, have hired me to refresh skills, have invested in my courses.

Let’s work together!
